Why did you leave your job at Amica Insurance Company? June 25, Reporting to some kid with zero credentials or industry experience right out of college is not ideal.

Currently, if you do not exceed at getting them, you have to call back the people who called in to the call center and solicit life insurance. We are all over worked but now we must humiliate ourselves to our customers. There is no monetary incentive for this, like there used to be. Management seems to be bored so inventing more work for us is what they came up with. Perhaps they should try picking up the phone and helping our customers. Pros stable company with good benefits.

Cons micromanaged call center with short breaks. Yes There are 8 helpful reviews 8 No. Not efficient, not reasonable, frowns on working from home. This company is very old school and it takes them quite a while to adopt to new trends. But even for those who are old school you will not find it easy.

As the software used to complete every day activities is behind the times and only makes task harder to complete. For example just to email customer documents you have to save it to your desktop then attach it to an email.

With competitor companies all you have to do is click one button or two to complete a task. Even punching in for the day is a long drawn out process on the computer. Pros Decent health benefits. Cons Software makes your job extremely difficult. Yes There are 6 helpful reviews 6 No. Company provided good training.

Benefits were good. Pay was not commensurate with industry. Have to wear multiple hats and it makes goals unattainable. Only promotes mobile 20 somethings out of college for management. Pros Benefits, Training. Cons Little Advancement, Burn Out. Official response from Amica Insurance Company September 7, Amica has decided to make a million changes at once. People are leaving in herds and this is causing the workplace to become even more stressful on the burnt out employees who remain. Amica does not care about safety during the pandemic and they have not provided any equipment to employees.

They want staff to return to the office ASAP. There is barely ANY flexibility in this area. After some backlash, they did offer one WFH day a week, but it's not guaranteed and most don't qualify because of lack of equipment. The pay at Amica is way under the industry standard and Amica expects you to wear many different hats and do the job of several without appropriate resources or compensation.

It is just not what it used to be. The guys making decisions at the top show that they have little regard for how their decisions are impacting their frontline employees. The staff is basically being told to deal with the new Amica. People are retiring early. New hires are not lasting six months. Turnover will forever be high now. Pros Benefits. Cons No flexibility in work location, pay, employee input is not valued, workload.

Regarding your comments about our response to the pandemic, safety has been top of mind when making all of our re-entry decisions. Many of our employees continue to work from home full time as we await better conditions. Please email us at employeefeedback amica.

Co Workers are great! This company pacts on so many other tasks they require their sales agents to do even AFTER the policy is issued. Literally every single day you sign into work you know for a fact you will have to deal with something stressful which takes away from production.

They will claim they have a formula to follow in order to succeed. I do believe it helps but at the end of the day you still see so many reps missing goal. Changing rates for things that have nothing to do with mortality is mind boggling. Pros Amazon gift cards. Cons Workload, unattainable commission, hours. Yes There are 5 helpful reviews 5 No.

Official response from Amica Insurance Company August 31, Management only cares about piling an unreasonable amount of claims on the adjusters without any kind of salary increase or bonus. People are leaving the company like flies and I hope to join them soon. Yes There are 9 helpful reviews 9 No. Official response from Amica Insurance Company August 27, Nice place to work. Good benefits. Supportive staff.

Flexible hours. Nice Cafeteria. Free parking. Free breakfast on Fridays. Pay for equipment and office supplies. Pros Pay. Cons Call volume. Official response from Amica Insurance Company August 23, Thank you for the five-star review and your kind words about Amica and our benefits!

We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. It was good when I started, but quickly turned into a very numbers focused job.
