How does 7th heaven end

Over the years I have watched it a little bit here and a little bit there. I started watching it again on Hallmark at the beginning of season It's just a little weird to end as they are taking a trip around America.

Financially I can't imagine that a pastor with that many people going would be able to just up and leave. I have taken many trips around America, and it can be quite expensive. Also, there are too many unanswered questions. At one point Eric I think says that they have many surprises and you are left going Details Edit.

The final episodes of family dramas -- as with many sitcoms -- are always filled to the brim with heartwarming surprises, flashbacks and of course! The show was remarkable only in that it was so very predictable. Although it did offer one juicy treat -- the brief return of Jessica Biel as Mary Camden , Esquire's Sexiest Woman Alive, in a ridiculously prim outfit -- "7th Heaven's" finale was indistinguishable from pretty much every other cheesy episode of its season run.

Like its not-so-distant sibling "Beverly Hills, " -- both were Aaron Spelling's spawn -- the soapy series took bad to a new level. Though, honestly, "" looks like Shakespeare in the Park next to "7th Heaven"; even good actors like Barry Watson, as Matt Camden, came off like dummies on the show, and other cast members couldn't seem to deliver a line in anything but a total monotone. All along, "7th Heaven" followed the same formula: One of the Camden family members there are nine: Annie and Reverend Eric Camden and their seven -- get it?

Though the show avoided discussing Jesus or faith too explicitly, Protestant guilt was readily employed as a plot device.

In the finale, the action centers on Simon David Gallagher -- a Camden son smack in the middle of the pack, college age -- who is preparing to marry Rose Sarah Thompson , a young, apparently indecisive woman should her hair be up, or down?

Neither Rose's opinionated mother nor the usually meddlesome Camdens seem to support the union, but everyone leaves it for the couple to decide. Well, everyone except for Rose's ex-boyfriend, Umberto, who hatches a plot to foil the wedding by objecting during the service at Reverend Camden's signal. Drifting in and out of the episode are the other Camden kids, listed here in descending age order: Matt, Mary, Lucy, insert Simon here , Ruthie and the totally forgettable twin boys, Sam and David, who, at age 7, still barely seem to know how to talk.

It was also the second series finale that the show had aired, the previous one being the episode And Thank You. On its original airing, the episode scored a 3. Eric and Annie decide to pack it all up and see America by way of an RV, given to them in celebration of Eric's clean bill of health. Initially taken back by this momentous and sudden decision, Lucy and Kevin ultimately decide to join Eric, Annie and the rest of the family - and extended family - on their exciting new adventure.

Following the Camden family, 7th Heaven featured a crop of rising stars like Jessica Biel and Beverley Mitchell as the kids, and veteran actors Stephen Collins and Catherine Hicks as the parents. The cast became tight-knit over the eleven years the series aired, even though not everyone was as willing to do the show as they appeared. By the fourth season, rumor has it that Jessica Biel was unhappy with her place on the show. She had started work on 7th Heaven at just 14 years old, and was ready to move on to projects she found more challenging.

Of course, rumor also has it that Biel wanted to get herself fired instead of leaving the show, which is where a racy photoshoot with Gear Magazine came in.

Biel was just 17 when she posed for Gear in a series of topless pictures, including one that made the cover of the magazine. Aaron Spelling was so unhappy with her appearing in the spread that he banned the magazine from set, according to her costar Mackenzie Rosman.

Rosman also revealed in interviews as an adult that the shoot was a spot of hot gossip amongst the women on set. Lending credence to the rumors that Biel was trying to get herself fired is the admission from Biel when interviewed by W Magazine that she was a bit of a rebel in her teen years on set, frequently getting into trouble with producers.

When Biel cut her long hair and bleached it without getting the okay from producers to change her look, she was forced to apologize to the producers, including TV heavyweight Aaron Spelling.

In , the year following the season finale of 7th Heaven , photos hit the internet of Rosman in lingerie, as well of photos of her kissing another young woman.

Cynics might suggest the leak was an effort by someone close to her to help TV audiences see her as an adult after playing the child of a minister on a family drama for 11 years. Rosman made that clear herself when she posed for a photoshoot in lingerie for Maxim in , though. Hicks - who had just filmed a movie she hoped would hit it big, but flopped - wanted to be doing film shoots instead of a TV series.

Despite her misgivings about doing a series, Hicks filmed the pilot and stuck with the show while still auditioning for other roles. As she explained in an interview with Snakkle , she grew to love the cast, which is what made her want to stick around on the show.

While that meant new bedrooms or new relationships for some of the kids, for Lucy, it meant experiencing loss for the first time, something that was inspired by the real life of the actress who played her.

Matt and Sarah Sarah Madison had to navigate the challenges of the relationship along with having fathers who were leaders of their own houses of worship.
